University of Houston Traffic Alert
On Tuesday April 26th 2011, The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will be conducting a one-day traffic survey at several locations on and around campus, including the Energy Research Park.
This survey will involve both a traffic count by TxDOT representatives and a short survey with some of our commuters to campus. The goal of the survey is to capture a picture of the normal traffic flow. This survey is completely voluntary, but we encourage you to participate if you can. All TxDOT employees will be wearing distinctive vests to identify themselves (see below). They are expected to conduct the survey between 7am and 10am.
With the collection of this data UHDPS hopes to continue to improve traffic flow throughout campus, making for a safer commute for our UH community.
