As a result of an extensive investigation into the robbery that occurred in the Roy Cullen Building, a juvenile suspect was identified and probable cause established for his arrest.  The juvenile was arrested by UHDPS on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, in the early AM hours.  The juvenile was questioned and admitted his involvement in this robbery.

Because of the similarities of the mode of operation of this case and the robbery that occurred on Aug. 18, 2008, next to the southwest corner of the Power Plant; the arrestee was questioned about his possible involvement in the robbery.  He fully admitted to his participation and provided concrete information on the identity of the three other suspects involved in the incident.  UHDPS is actively pursuing these leads to identify and arrest the three remaining suspects.

The UHDPS also consider the methods used by the suspects in the robbery at the Power Plant very similar to the robbery that occurred at Wheeler Street and Scott Street.  Although this juvenile was definitively eliminated as a suspect for the Wheeler Street robbery, there is a strong possibility that his confederates in the Physical Plant robbery may have been involved.  UHDPS will be working diligently to determine their involvement in the Wheeler Street robbery.
