The University of Houston reopened Sept. 16 to resume classes and serve those students who have been without power and water following Hurricane Ike. Those who were in mandatory evacuation areas should exercise caution as they make their way back to their homes and campus. Please visit the UH Web site – www.uh.edu – for campus updates. Also, consult the Texas Online Emergency Portal – www.texasonline.com/portal/tol/en/emergency -- for details on road conditions and re-entry into evacuated cities and zip codes.
