Bldgs 104, 105, 106, 108, 111, 116, and 119 Closed Sunday Sept. 21, 2008

Damaged sections of the tower at the Old KUHT / TLCC facility are scheduled to be detached and laid on the ground Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008.

This work will take four to eight hours, starting at approximately 9 a.m.

During this time, all buildings at the Old KUHT complex – specifically building 104, 105, 106, 108, 111, 116, and 119 – and the surrounding areas will be OFF LIMITS to everyone except members of the work crew.

A 100-ton crane will be set up in the northbound lanes of Cullen Boulevard to undertake this operation.  The contractor will manage the lane closure to re-direct two-way traffic via the southbound lanes of the street.
