On Thursday, March 11, 2010 at approximately 8:20 p.m., a UH visitor was robbed by an unidentified male at knife point. The incident occurred in UH Lot 6C, near UH entrance 6 and Wheeler Avenue.
The complainant advised that he had met one of the suspects approximately one month ago via Craigslist and bought a phone from the suspect without incident. The suspect re-contacted the complaint and offered to sell the complainant another phone. The complainant agreed to meet the suspect in UH Lot 4A to complete the transaction. The visitor advised that after a brief conversation between himself and the two suspect(s) they relocated to Lot 6C. The complainant advised that while they were inside his personal vehicle in Lot 6C, one of the suspects that was seated in the back seat behind him, pulled out a knife and placed it up to his throat. The visitor stated that at that time the second suspect that was seated in the passenger side front seat, took the keys from the ignition of his vehicle and then demanded his money and cellular phone as well. The visitor advised that after the suspects obtained his property they got out of the car and fled the area running north into the interior of the UH campus. UHDPS officers responded to the area in an attempt to locate the suspects, with negative results.
