SYNOPSIS: On Monday July 26, 2010 at approximately 1:50 am, a UH student was robbed at gunpoint by two unidentified black male suspects. The complainant was walking to his residence in the Calhoun Lofts from the Bayou Oaks apartment complex. The complainant stated that as he walked, he noticed an older model white sedan pass him on several occasions, without stopping. The complainant stated that after he arrived at the Calhoun Lofts complex he was approached by suspect number one, who displayed a black small frame semi-automatic pistol and told him to lie on the ground.
The complainant stated that suspect number two approached him from behind and “racked” what he believed to be a shotgun, and also told him to get on the ground. The complainant stated that after hearing the sound of the shotgun racking, he got down on his knees and looked behind him and saw that suspect number two was indeed holding a shotgun. The complainant stated that he then pulled out his wallet and showed the suspects the inside of his wallet and stated that he did not have any money. The complainant stated that suspect number one took his wallet and looked inside, and after seeing there was no money in it, threw the wallet on the ground and both of the suspects fled the area to a waiting vehicle on Calhoun Rd. and entered into the passenger side of the vehicle, at which time the vehicle left the area heading south bound on Calhoun. The complainant was not injured in the incident. The case is being actively investigated by UHDPS, if you have any information concerning this incident please call UHDPS at (713) 743-3333.
